The Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit has a vision to facilitate world class clinical trials that impact understanding of human disease and lead to improved diagnostics and therapeutics for patient benefit.

Based within Newcastle University's Faculty of Medical Sciences, the Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit works in partnership with investigators across all disease types, phases of research and methodologies in order to deliver high quality research. 

This Unit receives National Institute for Health Research CTU Support Funding.  This funding has been awarded to support the Unit in developing and supporting NIHR trials.  The Unit is also a fully-registered UKCRC Clinical Trials Unit.
